My husband and I found Mel while looking for a photographer who would be available for our kind-of-last-minute intimate wedding last year (marriage visas and all that), and we are SO VERY GLAD that she happened to have a break in her schedule! Mel took our engagement and wedding photos, and working with her was an absolutely wonderful experience. First, Mel is an all-around awesome human who truly is WICKED FUN! She exudes enthusiasm and positive energy, and was amazing at hyping us up and making us feel super comfortable in front of the camera. She encouraged us to just be ourselves rather than try to pose us, and the photos really reflect our personalities and love for one another.

Second, Mel has a huge talent for film photography, and we are honored to have been one of her first film-only weddings. Trust me when I say that ditching digital was SO WORTH IT! Mel is a true artist who has a keen eye for light and color, and she is an expert on using various cameras and types of film for all sorts of aesthetics, from vivid colors to nostalgic soft tones to vintage black and white. It is clear that Mel is very passionate about her craft and it shows in every photo that she takes. The colors of the garden where we got married are out of this world, and everyone's emotions are captured so beautifully, happy tears and all. I still tear up sometimes when I look through my photo gallery (as well as the beautiful prints that Mel kindly sent us!) and that is a testament to Mel's artistry and talent for capturing genuine moments and emotions on film. Our photos are like little time capsules that transport us back to our incredible day, and we will treasure them for the rest of our lives.
