A First Birthday Session on Film

When I showed up to Anna & Corey’s house for their daughter’s first birthday session I was humbled by how many of my photos they already have printed in their house that I took. Being able to follow a family from engagement to wedding to first child is such a JOY! We wanted to do an in-home session featuring the farm animals and the beautiful nursery Anna designed for Everly. The bebe braved the cold then we all warmed up in the pink-hued boho cowgirl themed bedroom. Literally. Scroll to see how GORGEOUS the room is!!! So many throughtful details and touches!!!

For this session I shot Portra 400 35mm, Expired TMAX 100 35mm for the black and white, and expired Kodacolor 120 film in the Holga (square framess)

It’s always such a joy to be able to share my passion with legacy clients. Thanks again Anna & Corey for always having me document your life milestones!

Everly LOVES the horses, and they are so gentle with the bebe!!

The ligh changed a bit towards the end and instead of color correcting I decided to leave the colors as the film captured them. Notice how much greener these two photos are than the above ones.

We end with a double exposure of the horses and the bebe in the nursery. What a beautiful DAY!
