The Oser Wedding Weekend on film in the Mountains of Rangley, Maine
If I could describe Michael and Taylor’s relationship in three words it would be these : silly, honest, loving. They love their cat Daniel and hanging out with friends & family. These two know how to have a GOOD TIME. The wedding weekend kicked off in Rangley Maine at Saddleback Pub for the rehearsal Dinner. Following dinner was the welcome party at Moose Alley, complete with wedding weekend swag bags, bowling, pool, shuffleboard, music and drinks. For this night we really took a “friend at the party” approach using mostly point and shoot cameras so the guests wouldn’t be too intimidated by the lens.
The wedding day was BEAUTIFUL. Everyone got ready at the A-frames at Saddleback Mountain. Daniel was even there to help the gals get ready and join in on the shenanigans. Taylor had such special details, including Taylor Swift friendship cracelet style glass markers for her and all the maids!
After wedding day prep, everyone hopped in the buses and headed down to Loon Lodge. Here Taylor got dressed while Mike and the guys watched hung out having drinks on the porch overlooking the ceremony spot. We did the first look in the ceremony space to emphasize the ground arbor or florals by Bad Rabbit. Taylor REALLY did NOT want to spend time taking posed photos, so we busted through family and bridal party pics pretty quickly but with tons of fun!! As the guests arrived Taylor hid, Mike greeted and we watching guests arrive through the bridal suite windows!
The ceremony took place overlooking the lake and luckily the weather could not have been more prefect. The couple had their good friend Jordan officiate the wedding and even he had a hard time keeping his eyes dry! They read their own hand written vows, both equal parts funny anf heart felt. At the end of the aisle Taylor got her DIP moment they had been practicing for weeks!!!
During cocktail hour drinks were on DANIEL! Taylor & Mike were VERY specific in that they prefered candid moments over posed photos during cocktails. So, we just followed the two around getting reaction shots and the fun interactions between them & the guests.
The reception tent was to die for. So many whimsical florals, colored glassware and hurricane style candlesticks elevated the space! The disco balls and checkerboard floor wrap classed up the test and looked AWESOME with the hand mirriors giant letters spelling OSER that Taylor made herself. Every guest not only got complimentart matchboxes but also a colorful acrylic escort/seating cards for them to take home.
Right before dinner we went down to the dock and got some of the most magical photos in under five minutes, I KID YOU NOT!
Dance parties require an outfit change!! As soon as the dance floor opened Taylor went and changed into her glittering 70’s disco inspired mini dress and bespoke MRS. Chucks for tearing up the dance floor. Somehow Michael ended up with a cowboy hat?
The evening concluded at a packed bar with the loudest karaoke system of all time. We made the best of it, and DANG was there some talent in our party!!! So many members of the wedding got up and sang. A GROOMSMEN DID THE PIANO MAN AND BROUGHT HIS OWN HARMONICA!!! SLAYYYY!!!
